Always before we eat a meal, my little family of us three girls holds hands and thanks our Heavenly Father for what we've been given. Its important to me that my children learn to pray and learn to be thankful and learn that things like food is a blessing and not an entitlement...
So...today at lunchtime it was just little Bella and I. She held my hands and said, "I do it, mama."
Okay.... usually that means I tell her what to say and she repeats it, but today she wanted nothing to do with me speaking...
"Shhhh! Shhh! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh...." yes, my two year old shushed me.
Then she began... "Dear heavy father...lalalalalalal food. Lalalalala daddy on 'puter and daddy safe! lalalalala sissy and mama... I love Bella! lalalalalala Amen."
And tears rolled down my face and she looked at me, got a worried look on her face and said, "Sorry mama." Oooh sweet little girl. Nothing to be sorry about. This is happy tears for mama.

I love 2 year olds. I love that everything is so new and innocent and that they have to do it themselves. I don't love the turdy attitude, but that might just be in mine. She is a doll that Bella. I get why you had tears.
what a sweet little heart. I love it when they pray. The sweetest thing ever!
Aw. :) Now I have tears rolling down my face, too. So tender and sweet, both Bella and your love for her.
From the mouths of babes, indeed. Precious
