Snarky....

Can I just be snarky for a minute?  Remember that little 7 year old that everyone was convinced was a holy terror that required medication to control, a specialized learning environment (i.e. special ed) and and was considered unmanageable?

That little terror has only gotten three yellow cards since school began (a red card is the really bad day...yellow means you're having a hard time listening)...thats three days of some trouble in 8 weeks of school, has been off all medication since August, and was just accepted into the Talented and Gifted program at her school.  She is testing in the above average and superior range in all subjects and her lowest scores are in the subtests for math where she is testing at a 3rd grade level...(she's in second grade)

Hooooooorrrrrraaaaaaaayyyyyy!

Apparently all she "really" needed was boundaries and a little attention.

snark snark snark....its hard to not say "I told you so..." (note this is my attempt to appear humble when in reality I am totally saying, "I told you so" by typing it here on my blog. HA!)

You totally deserve both the snarkitude AND some major kudos for resorting to actual parenting (*gasp*) instead of looking to the pharmaceutical companies to solve those normal childhood antics that send less-ambitious parents looking for a childhood-inhibiting drug. You rock!!
